San Francisco 2012 Chanukah Festival: 25-Foot-Tall Menorah | Union Square
Celebrate Chanukah 2012 with the 38th annual lighting of the 25 foot tall mahogany Bill Graham Menorah in Union Square.
Lighting ceremonies take place from December 8-15, 2012 at approximately 5pm on most days (Fridays are at 3pm and Saturdays at 7pm). This San Francisco tradition was the brainchild of rock and roll concert promoter Bill Graham begun in 1975.
Sunday, December 9, 2012 is “Bill Graham Menorah Day” in Union Square, a full day festival that usually features arts & crafts, a dreidel house and Jewish music, all capped off with the lighting of a giant 25-foot tall mahogany menorah in in the middle of the square.
