Tribes in Transition: A Forum on the Future of Burning Man

Join Steven T. Jones, author of “Tribes of Burning Man: How an Experimental City in the Desert is Shaping the New American Counterculture”, for a discussion on the future of Burning Man and its culture. 

The event will cover a wide range of topics, including this year’s ticket fiasco, a new report assessing Black Rock City’s environmental impacts, how to deal with increased demand and a growing population, the event’s slow transition to nonprofit control, the status of Bay Area art projects and workspaces, and other issues that Scribe covered in his book and for the Guardian.

This forum is free, but Scribe will be selling signed copies of his book and offering refreshments for small donations.
