Join local geography researcher Joel Pomerantz for a presentation about the Historic Watercourses of San Francisco, focusing on the Wiggle and the Panhandle. The vibrant urban valley of the Lower Haight once had lakes and steams, and had been the site of old Spanish Mission trails and Ohlone trails before. Its zigzag of streets is known as the Wiggle by today’s bicyclists avoiding hills. Pomerantz will discuss the fascinating history and future of this unique section of the City.
Joel Pomerantz is the founder of Thinkwalks.org, and co-founder of the SF Bicycle Coalition.
