Event Details

Prof. Rosemary Gillespie has been studying the face-like pattern on some species of spider on the Hawaiian islands. She tracks design variation through changes in both their DNA and the pressure of predation as different islands are colonized. She holds the Schlinger Chair of Systematics at the Essig Museum of Entomology at U.C. Berkeley.
