“Sunday Streets” SF’s Free Street Festival & Block Party (2026)

San Francisco’s 2026 season of Sunday Streets returns with four events across The City. Since 2008, Sunday Streets has transformed San Francisco’s streets into car-free community spaces, bringing neighbors together for a day of connection, movement, and fun.

Sunday Streets 2026 Season Schedule

Please note that full details, schedule and times are still TBA as of 5/12/2026.

  • June 14, 2026: Tenderloin
  • July 19, 2026: Mission
  • August 23, 2026: Bayview
  • October 18, 2026: Excelsior

Sunday Streets take place in diverse neighborhoods across the City, including the Tenderloin, Mission, Excelsior, and Bayview. Each event features fun free active play games, cultural performances, health resources, live music and more with the goal of connecting San Franciscans on car-free open streets.

Canceled due to coronavirus concerns

In 2020, a brand-new route comes to the Bayview, with open streets for all on Oakdale, Revere, Lane, Keith, Carroll, Ingalls, Bancroft and Arelious Walker. Though the Bayview has been part of Sunday Streets since its inception in 2008, this year marks the first time the route is dedicated exclusively to the neighborhood.

Sunday Streets Bayview aims to connect residents from Huntersview and Alice Griffith housing to neighborhood parks and the commercial corridor, help new and old Bayview residents find convenient shopping destinations, and engage diverse local organizations, small businesses, residents, and faith communities by coming to their front door.

The car-free route will link residential streets with neighborhood hubs, including George Carver Elementary, the Bayview Opera House/Mendell Plaza, Martin Luther King Park, and Alice Griffith Apartments.
