“Starlight Cinemas” Travelling Outdoor Movie Theater | San Jose

Starlight Cinemas is a traveling cinema series coming to a downtown neighborhood near you (as long as you live in San Jose) Every 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Wednesday of the month.

Take advantage of San Jose’s warm, summer nights and enjoy a movie under the star-studded sky with good company. Explore one of three distinct downtown neighborhoods (San Pedro Square, Historic District and SoFA District) each week and meet the people and businesses that give downtown its character.

San Pedro Square every 2nd Wednesday (Jun 9, Jul 14, Aug 11) on San Pedro Street between Santa Clara and St. John Street. Featuring Action/Adventure Classic films.

June 9 – Raiders of the Lost Ark (PG), 1981; Directed by Steven Spielberg; Starring Harrison Ford, Karen Allen. Archeologist Dr. Jones (Ford) is a respected college professor who battles snakes, Nazis, and supernatural forces in order to rescue the Ark of the Covenant, a sacred box containing the original Ten Commandments.

Pre-movie entertainment: ComedySportz will perform improvisational sketch comedy, using themes and locations from “Raiders of the Lost Ark;” Movie Trivia
