SF Jury Trials in Federal Courts Postponed Until October
Surge in COVID cases prompts city to postpone jury trials to limit number of people in the courts

Thanks to the SF Chronicle for letting us know that the recent surge in COVID-19 cases has prompted the San Francisco federal court to postpone jury trials until October.
Jury trials in civil cases have also been postponed. But, if both sides agree, judges can conduct trials remotely without a jury.
While federal courts are suspending Jury trials for the time being, state courts in San Francisco have returned. Last week SF began its first state criminal trial since March.
