Oakland Zoo’s “Glowfari” Shut Down for 2020
This brand-new, family-friendly experience features hundreds of larger-than-life animal lanterns throughout the Zoo has been forced to close early due to the new shelter-in-place order which begins on Monday, December 7 in Alameda County
Dozens of towering and even interactive, glowing lanterns of every order were supposed await to entertain and enlighten you at every turn.
The festival opened on November 20th and was supposed to continue through January 17th. As of now, it’s on hold after tonight (Sunday, December 6th is sold out)

The Zoo says they plan to reopen on January 5th (assuming the shelter-in-place order ends) and will be extending the festival though the end of January.
