Event Details

Spend your Labor Day afternoon enjoying a potluck buffet, live music by Quijeremá and Ash Reiter, a beer garden and live literary performances for Litquake’s ‘Quiet Lightning,’ beginning at 4:30 PM in front of the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park.

This Labor Day, Monday September 3rd, we will meet in the lawn of the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park for a free potluck, with a beer garden sponsored by Lagunitas ($3 drafts), live music by Quijeremá and Ash Reiter, the artwork of Todd Brown, and the latest edition of our incendiary literary mixtape.

Quiet Lightning is a submission based literary mixtape for San Francisco, created and performed live at a different venue each month. Each month’s selections are collected into a new volume of Sparkle + Blink (on sale at every QL), and performed live at that show.

The picnic will start at 4:30, and the music will start at 5. Both of those are free! The readings will be $5, but we accept more (if you have it) and less (if you don’t). Bring a jacket!

Bring some food to share and few bucks for the readings and beer if you like.
