SF’s Historic 1849 Restaurant “Tadich Grill” Reopens April 5
After a series of reopening hiccups, SF’s oldest restaurant is now planning on reopening (again) on Monday April 5, 2021.
Tadich Grill, which opened in 1849 and is considered the oldest continuously running restaurant in San Francisco, is taking reservations for the second time* in 172 years in business. So, the wait is over for their famous classic cioppano, steaks and oysters.
*They started accepting reservations back in October 2020 in anticipation of a November reopening which never ended up happening.

Monday through Saturday / lunch 11-2 & dinner 5-9

The classic restaurant located at 240 California St (btwn Front and Battery) in downtown San Francisco, tried takeout and deliver in the early days of the pandemic, but decided close down on August 1, 2020 and wait for indoor dining to expand. Their first attempt to reopen for indoor dining was supposed be November 9th (when San Francisco had originally planned to allow 50% capacity for indoor dining.)
But the winter surge caused San Francisco to roll back their indoor dining expansion and Tadich Grill chose to remain closed.

Now that San Francisco is once again at 50% capacity for indoor dining, Tadich Grill is giving it another shot.
