If you are curious about why Kabuki’s unique combination of drama, music, dance, and spectacle continues to enthrall millions every year, here’s your chance to study it it “amongst fans and experts who will gladly fill you in on all the social and historical aspects of the performance” (Flavorpill “Editor’s Pick”).

Join us for a special class focusing on ”The Sardine Seller’s Net of Love,” a rare Kabuki comedy penned by the legendary author Yukio Mishima (“Temple of the Golden Pavilion”).

The class explores a film version of the play, one of the few light romantic comedies in the Kabuki canon. In Japanese with English translation.
