3Girls Theatre proudly presents a staged reading of “retreat”: slouching toward silence”, written and performed by Margery Kreitman. Direction and dramaturgy by Jayne Wenger, with development by David Ford.
“retreat” is a humorous exploration of Margery’s journey as she navigates her way through a month-long silent retreat. As she strives to find inner peace, she struggles with following the rules and overcoming her aversions to just about everything. Her fervent dislike and obsession with a young, self-righteous yogi she nicknames Lululemon, nearly pushes her over the edge.
