Grand Opening Party in the Park: Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo + Rinconada Park

Join us on Saturday, May 14 at 11 a.m. for a special Party in the Park to celebrate the official grand openings of the Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo (JMZ) and Rinconada Park and unveil JMZ’s new Voyage Solar System Model exhibit.

Come connect with your community at Rinconada Park and enjoy:

• Official ribbon-cutting ceremony and speaker’s program with City and Friends of the JMZ officials
• Family friendly entertainment, including DJ John Beaver

• Opportunities to encounter animals at the JMZ
• Free tours of the newly renovated and expanded JMZ
• New amenities at the recently renovated Rinconada Park, such as the new playground, a more accessible area with amenities inspired by the Magical Bridge, new picnic area, and new outdoor elliptical machines and stationary bikes
• Tours of the new Voyage Solar System Model exhibit, a free outdoor 1- to 10-billion scale model of the Solar System
• Animal encounters including JMZ’s bald eagle, Sequoia
• Free ice cream by Treatbot
