Fall Photo Exhibit: Guest Artist Mi Zhou (SF)

We’re having our fall photo show next Saturday, September 10th, so come down to check out some stunning new work by gallery members and our guest artist Mi Zhou, whose series “Tide” – an exploration of surreal and dramatic images from the San Francisco beaches – is presented in gorgeous black and white prints.

One group show is “Dumpster Dive”, wherein local photographers and gallery members rediscover “discarded” photos from their archives that were once glossed over and forgotten, now getting their due.

Seeing your local haunts in a new way can be a challenge. In “Your Neck of the Woods”, workshop members found new ways to capture the street and rural scenes they are accustomed to, from various vantage points.

“Signs of Poetry” is a creative project wherein workshop members captured imagery of street, business, or municipal signs, or used collage techniques, to incorporate textual elements into beautiful landscapes.

6th on 7th Gallery, a part of 6th Street Photography Workshop (established in 1992), is a non-profit gallery and workshop offering photo education and art therapy to adults living below the poverty line and military veterans.
