Tales of The Town Film and Art Exhibit (Bekeley)

The Tales of The Town Film and Art Exhibit will be a chance to witness the first screening of Tales of The Town: The Film.

The film captures the landscape, and the people and their stories in a poetic tribute to generations of Oaklanders–both the living and our ancestors! The film will be accompanied by an Art Exhibit which makes use of different artistic mediums to give the viewer an in-depth and personal look at the culture that has been birthed from nearly a century of Black life in the place affectionately dubbed “The Town.”
