2024 de Young Museum’s “de Youngsters Day Out” Free Festival (SF)

This event is open to every Bay Area family and free of charge. The in-person, all-day event will include hands-on art-making activities, in-gallery conversations and entertainment led by teaching artists and community partners, collaborations with local contemporary artists interpreting our permanent collection, and live performances and music in Wilsey Court.

Proceeds from the event support our Equity School Partnership Project, which provides in-classroom instructional support, art supplies, and transportation for students who do not typically visit the de Young.

This event will be held at the de Young Museum, located at 50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive.

Ticket Information

• May 4 museum hours: 10 am–4 pm.
• Present your printed or mobile ticket at the gallery entrance.
• Please note: if you wish to visit the following special exhibitions and activations, you will need to reserve a separate (free) timed ticket onsite for each: Irving Penn, Fashioning San Francisco, and the augmented-reality fashion experience.
