Be Free Festival is an annual celebration that showcases the vibrant Filipino culture. Kultivate Labs, along with its community partners in SOMA Pilipinas, are welcoming you to SOMA Pilipinas to eat, connect, learn, and get down to celebrate 126 years of liberation.
This year, we’re bringing even more excitement with a bigger crawl than ever before – featuring new venues in the #SOMAPilipinas district to explore.
At each spot, dive into a variety of activities and entertainment, including traditional Filipino music and dance, delectable food tastings, small business shopping, and immersive cultural exhibitions.

Tickets for the market @ Be Free Festival are FREE but we are accepting sliding scale donations. Your donations will help us continue to host our future events and keep our garden growing.
Slow Streets Celebration & Ribbon Cutting, 10a-12p
A block party and ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate community and the permanent reinstatement of the first Slow Streets in the SOMA. Featuring ground murals, performances, community based-organizations, games, and health and wellness activities for all ages.
