Artists, Performers and Local Vendors Will Be Activating Downtown Hayward Friday and Saturdays Starting Memorial Day Weekend

Over the next several months, on Fridays and Saturdays, the B Street corridor will be brought to life with performances, live and interactive art and small businesses.

“Artists, performers and small businesses are desperate to find affordable space to do their work. This program is going to help those across Hayward and the Bay access opportunities to reach customers in an unique venue,” says Aaron Lander, owner of The Pop Up Guide. “These types of opportunities will help create community and economic development that will bring people Downtown to also support the existing businesses that have been struggling since the pandemic”.

Artists and performers will receive a stipend for being involved and local businesses will receive their booth space for free. The City of Hayward invites those across the Bay Area to experience this series. Downtown Hayward is conveniently located just a block from BART and is easily accessible using AC Transit. There is also plenty of parking available for those traveling via automobile.
