Sutro Tower “Sea of Lights” Laser Show (July 4-8)
Thanks to KRON4 for letting us know about a brand new illuminated laser art piece called “loveAbove” from Illuminate – the same people who brought you the Bay Lights and the rainbow lasers above Market Street.
The lights, streaming up through Sutro Tower, should be visible (depending on fog) throughout San Francisco between July 4-8, 2023, from sunset to midnight.
But this isn’t the end of the lighting.
According to Illuminate, this is part of a one-of-a-kind “Summer of Awe” light show planned on many weekends this summer with colorful lights shooting for miles down Market Street (June 23-25) , up through Sutro Tower (July 4-8), out the top of Coit Tower (TBD) and across Nob Hill through the rose window at Grace Cathedral (TBD).
The purpose of the four-weekend light show? To remind San Franciscans of their city’s stunning beauty, endless creativity and artistry, and flair for the weird and dramatic.
