Meet contemporary artists John Osgood and Steve Javiel as they captivate you with their in-person live painting session at Voss Gallery. Witness creativity come to life right before your eyes while immersing yourself in our current exhibition “Reflect.Renew.Rebirth,” where Osgood and Javiel’s dynamic original work adorn the gallery walls. JOHN OSGOOD (b. 1977) is a contemporary urban artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His work incorporates visual and stylistic elements of street art, graffiti, pop culture and cubism to depict the human condition. Osgood layers a combination of acrylic, aerosol, and oil paint on either canvas or wood panel to create his vibrant and textural paintings. This process-oriented approach mirrors the multifaceted nature of memory and the collective human experience. Osgood holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University with a minor in Fine Arts. He participates in exhibitions across the US and his murals can be found along the West Coast, UK, and Spain.

STEVE JAVIEL (b. Los Angeles, CA, 1981) is an urban impressionist painter based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA, and participates in exhibitions along the West Coast.

VOSS GALLERY is a women-owned art gallery in San Francisco’s Mission District established in 2019 by Ashley L. Voss. The gallery features a dynamic exhibition program of solo and thematically organized group shows and socially-conscious projects to benefit the greater community. New exhibitions are presented every three to four weeks and are curated with an emphasis on New Contemporary work by emerging and mid-career artists.
