BART’s Fall 2023 Train “Read-In” Party

A snapshot of One Book One BART’s Summer 2023 Train Read-In that started at Rockridge Station. 

One Book One BART will wrap up the Fall 2023 book club with two upcoming events: a Train Read-In from Richmond Station to Daly City and a live talk with On the Rooftop author Margaret Wilkerson Sexton, moderated by author Vanessa Hua, on Wednesday, Nov. 1, from noon to 1pm, at BART Headquarters in Oakland.

The events are free and open to the public. Registration is required to attend the author talk at BART Headquarters as seating is limited. The talk will also be livestreamed.

Train Read-In

Saturday, Oct 21, 1pm-2:15pm, from Richmond Station to Daly City Station (no signup required, hop on the train along the way)

• Join BART staff for this season’s Train Read-In – an approximately hourlong ride starting at Richmond Station and ending at Daly City Station. We will gather in the first car (where the Train Operator sits).
• Feel free to hop on along the way! BART safety staff will join us for the duration of the ride.
• Details:
  • Find BART staff with a blue One Book One BART sign in front of the Station Agent booth, located in the middle of the station. A map of the station can be found here.
  • If you are starting with us at Richmond Station, arrive no later than 1:10pm, as the train will depart at 1:14pm. We will arrive at Daly City Station around 2:08pm.
  • We will be taking a Red Line train heading in the SF/SFO Airport/Millbrae direction.
