Union Square’s Festive “Winter Walk” 2025 (Dec. 13-24)

San Francisco’s signature holiday event, Winter Walk, returns to Union Square from December 13–24, 2025 for a 12-day celebration that transforms two blocks of Stockton Street into a festive holiday destination. This year’s Winter Walk will feature a holiday marketplace, interactive vendors, food trucks, family-friendly stage programming, holiday decor, seasonal drinks, and more.

Holiday Marketplace Presented by Gap Inc.

Curated by West Coast Craft, the Holiday Marketplace will showcase 10 local artists offering handmade crafts and gifts. Adjacent to the marketplace, Old Navy will host a pop-up store featuring seasonal merchandise.

Nintendo Pop-Up Tent

Stop by the Nintendo tent for photo opportunities, and Nintendo Account holders can collect 100 My Nintendo Platinum Points when they check in.

Food & Drinks

Winter Walk’s food trucks are curated by Tanya Kollar, known for her work at Outside Lands. Highlights include:

• Momolicious: Nepalese-style dishes
• Cousins Maine Lobster: Maine lobster rolls
• Me So Hungry Too: Smash burgers and fried chicken

Seasonal drinks are curated by Jon Vargas and include hot chocolate, non-alcoholic eggnog, and festive cocktails like:

• Fisherman’s Warmth: Mulled wine
• Santa’s Nightcap: Whiskey and coffee with peppermint whipped cream
• Elf on the Shelf: Whiskey and hot chocolate with whipped cream topper

Live Entertainment

Winter Walk features live music and family-friendly stage performances throughout the event, including acts like Los Kimberos Salsa, Golden Gate Belles, and LionMe + Dragon Dancers. View the full stage schedule for performers, dates, and times.

Ornament Trail Presented by LendingClub

Returning as part of Holidays in Union Square, the Ornament Trail runs December 6-24, 2025 and invites visitors to explore eleven giant, oversized ornaments created by local artists.

How it works:

1. Pick up an Ornament Trail Guide at the Cable Car Turnaround (Powell & Market Street)
2. Tour Union Square along Powell Street to find all eleven oversized ornaments
3. Take a photo with each ornament
4. Redeem a prize at the Cable Car Turnaround
5. Share your photos on Instagram with @unionsquaresf

The trail is one of many festive activations guiding families, shoppers, and visitors through the heart of Union Square while creating fun photo opportunities and holiday memories.

Special Activations & Experiences

• Macy’s Union Square: Beauty and fragrance experiences and the 39th annual SF SPCA Holiday Windows, featuring rescue animals.
• The Salvation Army: Raising funds to support holiday meals, food for the unhoused, and other essential services.
• SF Fire Department Tent (Dec 13-19): Officers will hand out community resources and stickers.
• Say Ya Photo Booth: Vintage-style photo booths let guests take home keepsake photos from the event.

Safety & Accessibility

Winter Walk will feature 24/7 private security, SFPD officers, and Union Square Ambassadors, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all attendees.

With shopping, food, entertainment, interactive activities, and the magical Ornament Trail, Winter Walk 2025 is set to bring families, visitors, and the San Francisco community together for a festive holiday celebration in the heart of the city.
