Wine Tasting & Poetry Inspired by Artists with ALS – May 18th from 2 – 4:30 pm
Location: San Francisco Women Artists Gallery, 647 Irving Street at 8th Ave, SF
Join us at the Hope Lives: Art for ALS Wine Tasting and Poetry Event at the SFWA Gallery on Saturday, May 18th from 2 – 4:30 pm. Poets will read their art inspired prose while guests sip delicious Corner 103 wines or bubbly alternative beverages by TÖST. Learn how to be your own wine expert and fill your cup with creativity too. The exhibition is particularly exciting because it is created by people with ALS.
All wines are from Sonoma’s Corner 103 Tasting Room. It’s here that founder, Lloyd Davis, has curated a world-class team of wine professionals. From winemaking to hospitality, they are united by their desire to make the best wines possible, and to create memories through unique, welcoming and thoughtful wine experiences.
TÖST is an alcohol-free sparkling beverage created so everyone can celebrate their moments positively and inclusively. Naturally low calorie TÖST is carefully crafted with the finest natural ingredients. Available at BevMo, Sprouts and other local shops.
Hope Lives: Art for ALS was launched by Melissa Stephens in 2020 as a way to honor her sister, Lynn Giovannelli, who bravely battled ALS for 3 ½ years. ALS is a neurodegenerative disease that breaks down the communication between a person’s brain and muscles. It steals one’s ability to walk, talk, eat and breathe.
Participating Poets: June Halebsky, Amanda Moore, Dean Rader, Sarah Rosenthal, Kim Shuck and Rebekah Wolman
Exhibition Dates: May 7 – 31, 2024, Hours: Tuesday – Saturday from 10:30 am – 5:30 pm
