The grooves are too powerful this Friday Nights at OMCA! The Garden stage is set to amplify the electrifying sounds of La Misa Negra. An 8-piece band from California, La Misa Negra is known for their horns, accordion-driven riffs, and a fierce rhythm section that power an infectious high-energy Afro-Latin cumbia sound.
A friendly and high-energy dance lesson! Samba Fusion and Fun! w/ Queen Joy Broussard will provide you with all the smooth Brazilian Samba moves you need to take in and amplify the flowing good summer energy. A rich and textured set from Oakland-local DJ Fasho will sustain the vibe with a skillful blend of R&B, Afrobeats, reggae, pop, and reggaeton.
