Event Details

The SFDBA Future Entrepreneur Cohort is designed for entrepreneurs with disabilities who are exploring small business ownership as a pathway to self-employment. This 8 week cohort allows individuals to learn about starting a small business and what it requires. This intimate hands on program allows individuals to harness their creativity and really think about what type of business they might want to launch and develop a strategy to do so. Our program supports individuals from inception, to launch, to owning and operating a small business.

Our 8 week cohort covers the following topics:

WHAT IS ENTREPRENEURSHIP
MARKETING STRATEGY
BUSINESS PLAN BASICS
IDEA GENERATION & VALIDATION
BUSINESS TYPES
BASIC FINANCIAL CONCEPTS
IMPORTANCE OF NETWORK

We will also have resident specialists present on such topics as starting an e-business as well as resource providers and referrals.
