SF’s Free Fall 2024 Outdoor Film Fest at Proxy (Sept. 27-Oct. 26)

Hello movie lovers! We are super excited to announce the 2024 PROXY Fall Film Festival of FREE outdoor cinema at the PROXY Outdoor Theater! Knowing that so many of us need a respite from the everyday, this year’s festival is a collection of five inspiring, visually stunning, and aurally appealing films — films both big and small, known and unknown. As always, we look to the best, and most recent independent film releases and this Fall’s selections are filled with joy, wonder, and awe. We hope you come out and lose yourself watching films outside under the stars with us in the weeks ahead!

  • Starting on Friday, September 27, we kick things off with the incredible, full screen Norwegian nature poem/documentary Songs of Earth @margretholin @strandreleasing– 7:45PM
  • Then, on Friday, October 4th, we welcome you to witness the sublime, Belgian slice of life drama about soup and moss called Here @here_thefilm @cinemaguild– 7:45PM
  • On Friday, October 11th, we present the Italian art and archeology adventure comedy La Chimera @neonrated– 7:45PM
  • On Friday, October 18th, we screen the inspiring, heartwarming, queer, Macedonian family drama Housekeeping For Beginners @stolevski.goran @focusfeatures – 7:45PM
  • And last but not least, on a special day, Saturday, October 26, in conjunction with the Hayes Valley Halloween Holiday Extravaganza, we screen Inside Out 2! @pixar – 7PM

Presented by HERE FOR NOW, lovingly curated and produced by @envelopead, these FREE evening films at the PROXY Outdoor Theater begin 7:45 PM, except for Inside Out 2, which will begin at 7:00 PM.

Come early to claim a good spot, enjoy a @fortpointbeer (or cider) and non-alcoholic tonics from our very own @juiceshopsf. And don’t forget to pick up some hot dogs on your way to the show from @hayzdog! A special thank you to @fiddlesticks_sf for sponsoring our screening of Inside Out 2! And thank you to all of our sponsors and individual donors for helping to keep the films rolling at PROXY!

Bring a blanket and your friends, because it’s going to be a good night.
