Voices of Resilience: Rev. Diana McDaniel on the Port of Chicago Disaster

Diana McDaniel, President of the Friends of Port Chicago National Memorial, will share her insights on the Port of Chicago Disaster, a pivotal event in civil rights history that took place right here in the Bay Area. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about our community’s rich heritage and the resilience that shaped our city.
Jazz Journeys with Dawan Muhammad

Dawan Muhammad, a talented musician from our Jazz Vespers program., will bring his art and music to St. Mark’s Square, highlighting the efforts of Bay Area musicians in promoting and preserving jazz. Additionally, he will explore the spiritual aspects of spontaneous creative music and its impact on human and community development.
