“Annie Jr” is the official adaptation of the fun and uplifting musical comedy based on the popular comic strip “Little Orphan Annie” that ran in newspapers for decades starting in 1924. The musical won 7 Tony Awards including Best Musical and features some of the greatest musical theatre hits ever written, including “Tomorrow,” and “It’s the Hard-Knock Life.”

Set in 1933 New York City during America’s “Great Depression” the musical tells the rags-to-riches tale of Annie, a 10 year-old orphan, and the many colorful characters in her life.
With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, she embarks on a series of adventures with her friend Sandy the dog, trying to escape Hannigan, meeting the millionaire Oliver Warbucks and even President Roosevelt!
