Human Banner at Ocean Beach – “NO KINGS” National Day of Action
Ocean Beach (Stairwell #7 at Balboa), San Francisco
Saturday, June 14, 2025 | 10:00–11:00 AM
Join fellow community members for a powerful act of resistance on Ocean Beach as part of the national “NO KINGS” day of action. Participants will gather at Stairwell #7, near Balboa Street and the Great Highway, to form a massive human banner visible from above, spelling out a bold message in the sand.
Organized by local activists Brad and Travis—known for previous beach banner actions—this peaceful, family-friendly demonstration is part of a nationwide mobilization against authoritarianism, political corruption, and attacks on democratic institutions.
✊ What to Expect

Assemble by 10:00 AM at Stairwell #7 (Great Highway at Balboa)

Organizers will direct volunteers to specific positions to form the banner

Aerial photos will be taken to capture the final message from above

How to Get There (via Public Transit)

5-Fulton Muni bus to La Playa & Balboa (end of the line), then walk one block west to Ocean Beach

Or from other parts of SF: Take the 5-Fulton to Arguello Blvd, transfer to the 33-Ashbury/18th toward La Playa, and exit at Balboa

Access to the beach involves descending 12 stairs; some participants with mobility challenges have described them as difficult
