Event Details

Hospitality House presents an evening of unfiltered storytelling and truth-telling, featuring original work by Tenderloin-based artists and community members developed over two years of writing workshops at the Community Arts Program facilitated by Benjamin Wachs.  Readers include Charles Blackwell, Sylvester Guard, Monteque Pope-Le Beau, Catalin Stef and Benjamin Wachs. Haley Summerfield hosts.

Haley Summerfield is an interdisciplinary artist and the Community Arts Program Manager at Hospitality House, where she supports emerging artists and fosters creative community in the Bay Area.

Hospitality House’s Community Arts Program is a vibrant, free-of-charge art studio and gallery dedicated to providing a creative sanctuary for artists of all backgrounds—particularly those who have experienced poverty, homelessness, or other systemic barriers. Founded in 1969, CAP is one of the longest-running free art spaces in the country, fostering self-expression, empowerment and community building through the arts. All artists keep 100% of the proceeds from any work they sell, making CAP a unique social enterprise.
