3:00 PM – The Sinking of the Lisbon Maru
This documentary uncovers the harrowing 1942 sinking of the Lisbon Maru, a Japanese transport ship carrying British prisoners of war. Through survivor testimonies and historical investigation, the film reveals the tragedy—and resilience—of those caught in one of the Pacific War’s forgotten stories.
7:00 PM – Cliff Walkers
Directed by Zhang Yimou, Cliff Walkers is a historical spy thriller set in 1930s Manchukuo, where Chinese agents risk everything behind enemy lines. With stunning visuals and gripping suspense, the film captures the courage and moral struggle of those who fought against occupation and betrayal.
