We invite you to a musical and poetic journey that celebrates curiosity, presence, and the art of listening. This evening will feature music by April Nicole and Victoria Sol, supported by the poetry of Emilie Lygren, Clio, and ollie mills.

Bay Area based singer-songwriter Victoria Sol blends jazz-inflected folk and lyrical storytelling inspired by artists like Joni Mitchell and Madison Cunningham. Her songs explore intimacy, imagination, love, and loss.

Poet and educator Emilie Lygren brings language to life through attentive observation to nature. Her work invites listeners to slow down, look closely, and reconnect with the world around them.

April Nicole

April Nicole is a Miami-based Mexican-American musician & multi-disciplinary artist whose live performances hit an indie note with hints of dream pop and soul. Her music marries influences from jazz era icons like Ella Fitzgerald to modern alt artists like Angel Olsen, Alice Phoebe Lou, and Radiohead. In solo context, she loops vocal harmonies to create dreamy textures that tell a story.

ollie mills is a bay area noise artist, crosswall organizer, and queer saint who writes poems because he must. they edit an annual anthology of new works by imprisoned trans poets and have a new chapbook out—ask for copies!

Clio (they/them) is a poet, drummer and organizer based in Oakland. Their poems are spaces for play — where readers and listeners can create meaning, not just discover it.
