This is a short film premiere of Ain’t Samsāra a B****h. When a Chinese American immigrant and devout Buddhist arrives in the afterlife, she must review her soul contracts — including the arduous relationship with her daughter. Will she finally be able to exit reincarnation?
The evening will include music, poetry, other short films, and Q&A with Samsāra cast and crew.
The theme of the night is to “Rest in the Middle”– one of the five invitations of death by Buddhist teacher and co-founder The Zen Hospice Project Frank Ostaseski. The intention is to provide a moment of respite to pull back and ponder what life is all about.
