Noize MC is one of the most outspoken anti-Putin, anti-war Russian artists in exile — a musician whose work sits at the crossroads of rap, rock, and sharp political commentary. Over the past 15 years, he has become a defining voice for a generation, known for his fearless freestyling, genre-blending sound, and uncompromising civic stance. He was named to Forbes’ “50 Stars” list in 2010 and 2019 and received MTV Europe Music Awards nominations for Best Russian Artist in both years.
In 2019, Noize MC released “Just Like Everyone Else,” a scathing critique of contemporary Russia that went viral, amassing more than 36 million views on his official YouTube channel. His 2025 album Not All There marked a major turning point in his career and is widely regarded as one of the most important releases in recent Russian-language music.
After publicly condemning Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 — following more than a decade of protest activity against Vladimir Putin’s regime — Noize MC left Russia and settled in Lithuania. Together with fellow artist Monetochka, he launched Voices of Peace, a series of benefit concerts that raised over €400,000 for Ukrainian civilians. In December 2024, Noize MC and Monetochka were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
