SF’s iconic Castro Theatre is officially reopening after a 4-year, $41 million restoration
After being dark for years, one of San Francisco’s most beloved landmarks is finally back. This Friday, the fully restored Castro Theatre will celebrate its grand reopening with a short official ribbon cutting, marking the start of a new era for the historic venue.
Led by Another Planet Entertainment, the massive rehabilitation preserves the theater’s legendary beauty while upgrading it for modern performances – including standing-room concerts for the first time ever.
