Event Details

Why we love growing in Cannabis in our backyard and what you need to know to grow at home.

*special Clonetopia workshop at Seven Stars*

Did you know folks all over the U.S. are already growing Cannabis at home? Whether you call it hemp or marijuana, enjoy THC and/or CBD, it is easy to grow in your backyard. Penny and Emily are excited to help you get gardening with practical advice and resources for growing at home, as featured by the LA times! Throughout the lecture we will also share a variety of ‘show and tell’ items to demonstrate how to successfully grow at home.

This workshop will cover the how and why of your starting material (clones, seeds, plants) and provide step by step instructions for growing outdoors on a patio or in the backyard (think tomatoes, but easier). Penny and Emily are here to answer your questions with sound advice based on years of gardening experience and will bring a variety of ‘show and tell’ items to demonstrate how to successfully grow at home. Cannabis seeds will be available for purchase and you can get a copy of Penny’s book, The Cannabis Gardener (Penguin Random House 2021).

  • Class is LIVE from the fabulous Seven Stars
  • Reserve your spot in the class by RSVPing for a ticket and you’ll get free seeds!
  • Additional seeds and the class ‘text book’ are available for pre-order and limited supplies available at the class.

About Your Ticket

Afternoon Punch. THC. As easy to grow as a tomato, on a patio or in a backyard. Late spring through fall, warm season annual bears flowers high in THC with a lush berry aroma, excellent for culinary and smoking applications. Plant in containers or in your vegetable garden, versatile and adaptable, easy to grow.

Blue Orchid. CBD. As easy to grow as a tomato, on a patio or in a backyard. Late spring through fall, warm season annual bears flowers high in CBD with a sweet floral aroma, excellent for culinary and smoking applications. Plant in containers or in your vegetable garden, versatile and adaptable, easy to grow.

The Cannabis Gardener (Penguin Random House 2021). The ‘textbook’ for the class. A popular how-to gardening book with practical advice on growing at home. Cannabis is an easy, versatile addition to your garden design as it grows well in mixed plantings or raised beds, and can thrive on your patio in a container. Gorgeous full-color photographs throughout the book capture each stage of the growing process and walk the reader through the flower harvest with practical methods for drying and storing the flowers. Recipes for savoring your harvest are featured and include a variety of delicious treats and wellness applications.
