20th Annual “Music on the Square” Free Concerts Every Friday (Redwood City)
20 years ago, we said it was gonna be big. Turns out… we were just getting started.
From Music on the Square to Shakespeare under the stars, Redwood City Events became more than a series. It’s the soundtrack of this city. And 20 seasons later? Yep… we’ve still got it!
Marking these 20 years of live music and community celebration, Downtown Redwood City’s Music on the Square offers something for all ages. Featuring the best of rock, reggae, funk, Latin, and soul on Friday nights from May 29 through September 4, this fourteen-week series of free concerts delivers powerhouse performances that keep Courthouse Square buzzing from 6 to 8pm.

Presenting outstanding talent from across the Bay and beyond, the season launches with the high-voltage Santana Tribute of Carnaval and finishes with the irresistible pop and soul of Pride & Joy. With its lively atmosphere and ideal summer setting, Music on the Square invites you to gather, connect, and celebrate.
Enjoy appetizing fare from nearby restaurants, bring a lawn chair or blanket, and let the rhythm move you; it’s the Peninsula’s go-to Friday night tradition!
