Event Details

A Friday-night conversation about what’s broken with dating apps and what could work next.

Every dating app on your phone is designed to keep you single. That’s not a glitch, it’s the business model. The apps that promised to help you find love now make money when you don’t.

We’re spending an evening taking this seriously: how we got here, what a dating app would have to do differently to actually be on your side, and what we owe each other when we’re trying to find love through software.

A short talk from Jey Kottalam, founder of Rarebird, on how he’s thinking about the problem. Then the conversation opens up to the room.

  • What: Talk, discussion, drinks
  • When: Doors 6:30 PM, talk at 7:15
  • Who: Thoughtful daters tired of the status quo

Bring your hopes for better dating. Bring a friend who’s been complaining about Hinge.

Presented by Rarebird. We’re designing a better way to date, launching this summer. Get early access.
