Obsolete Californias: Installation & Event Series | SF
Obsolete Californias is a two-week-long installation and event series exploring the relics and customs of Californias that no longer exist and proposing contemporary opportunities for exchange.
Events will include movies, speakers, DJs, workshops and even a wrestling match.
The installation is presented by Shipping & Receiving and will be at StoreFrontLab January 9-25, 2013.
Screening and conversation featuring Sneakers (1992), the legendary computer caper set in the Bay Area, from the early days of the interwebs.
Free, but RSVP is required.
Complex but lighthearted thriller about computers and cryptography, government and espionage, secrets and deception and betrayal starring Robert Redford, Dan Aykroyd and Sidney Poitier.
