Event Details

In place of the normal Vegan Hacker event for June 2013, the organizers are hosting a free coffee roasting workshop at 7 pm on Thursday June 27, 2013 at Noisebridge in the back/kitchen area.

Roasting your own coffee beans is simple, quick, and cheap. Come learn how from Dana and Maggie who have been home-roasting coffee beans for the past few years.

Home-Roasting Coffee Workshop:

  • History of the coffee trade
  • Where to get green beans
  • Where to get the very, very simple equipment
  • Coffee flavors and different types of roasts
  • Demonstration of how to roast coffee
  • Possible coffee roaster hacks

They’ll provide samples of home-roasted coffee, and since their stash of coffee is overflowing, they might also have some green beans they will sell.
