Event Details

Besides Pixar, there’s another Bay Area filmmaker doing short, silent films—except these are anything but cutesy. Come to Bender’s Bar in the Mission for a free showing of six shorts from Grumblefish Films. It’s like the Charlie Chaplin flicks except the slapsticks revolves around heavy drug use, hard boozing, jerk landlords and all kinds of things you’d find in seedy EssEff.

Grumblefish Films is the brainchild of director/screenwriter/editor Rex Marin of San Francisco. He also acts in the films with a cast of characters strange and intriguing enough to come off like comical weirdos perfectly fit for the silent film genre.
