Omnivore Books on Food is a teeny Noe Valley bookstore, their shelves packed floor to ceiling with hundreds of new, antiquarian, and collectible titles, on all manner of food and cooking.

The store hosts frequent events including book signings, chef talks, author readings, cooking contests, and food and drink tastings.

Join Jennifer Perillo to celebrate her new book “Homemade with Love: Simple Scratch Cooking from Jennie’s Kitchen” from 6-7 pm on April 30, 2013.

KitchenAid USA will also be raffling off a 7-quart stand mixer to a lucky customer.

Jennie has been writing online since 2006, and developing recipes for more than 15 years, even after the sudden death of her young husband, Mikey, in 2011. Gathering her family together around the table was her recipe for healing; though many things about her life have changed, her commitment to eating for nourishment—physical and spiritual—has not. A seasoned recipe developer and personal chef, Jennie has crafted recipes to make good eating just a little easier.
