Celebrate spring with all of your friends at the annual May Fete Children’s Parade, held each year on the first Saturday in May.
2019’s theme is “Happy 125th Birthday Palo Alto.”
97th Annual May Fete Children’s Parade & Festival
Saturday, May 4, 2019
– Vintage Vehicles and Family Festival: 9:30 – 2 pm | Museum of American Heritage (351 Homer Ave)
– Parade: 10 am | University Ave to Heritage Park (300 Homer Ave)
– May Fete Fair: 10 am – 1 pm | Heritage Park

In addition to the parade, Palo Alto hosts two festivals on this day with fun for the whole family.
15th Annual Vintage Vehicles and Family Festival – 9:30 am – 2 pm | Museum of American Heritage
This free annual community event is being hosted in collaboration with the City of Palo Alto’s 97th May Fete Parade & Fair. A variety of unique vintage cars will be on display for the public to enjoy. To round out the celebrations, Museum of American Heritage will be hosting an open house featuring many family friendly activities. Plus, the museum’s exhibition, The Happy Homemaker: History of Household Appliances, will be open for viewing.
Kiwanis May Fete Fair – 10 am – 1 pm | Heritage Park
Follow the parade to its end in Heritage Park for more family fun featuring:
• Music by Jordan, JLS, Paly, and Gunn school bands, and Past Curfew
• Booths with over 30 local community organizations
• Games and prizes for kids
• Food trucks
The May Fete Parade starts at 10 am – rain or shine. Parade route starts at the corner of Emerson St. and University Ave. From University Ave., the parade will turn right into Waverley St. and end at Heritage Park.
