DeliRadio’s Free lOAKal Music Showcase | Oakland
DeliRadio, Berkeley’s streaming music, hosts the lOAKal Free Showcase, an ongoing concert series highlighting the best of Bay Area music at The New Parish in Oakland.
Admission to all shows is free for music fans 21 and up, with nightly specials including $3 Trumer Pils beer and a $3 food menu. Music starts at 8 pm. Under 21 must buy $5 drink ticket at the door.
DeliRadio’s lOAKal Free Showcase returns on Thursday, June 27, 2013 with some of the finest Americana, roots, bluegrass, and folk music native to the northern half of our great state.
Headlining the night will be Dead Winter Carpenters, which mixes inspired violins, upright bass, stomping drums, and co-ed vocals to get your toes-tapping and mind dreaming. The Lake Tahoe five-piece will be embarking on a national tour soon.
Opening the night will be Oakland’s own Front Country, with banjos and mandolins to melt your troubles away, and Steep Ravine, with its soothing vocal harmonies and throwback bluegrass spirit.
