The Rescue Culture Collective, invites you to the 37th annual San Francisco Day Of The Dead Ritual Procession on Saturday, November 2, 2019.
2019 Dia de los Muertos Procession
Saturday, November 2, 2019
– 7 pm: Procession starts at 22nd and Bryant
– 4 pm: Festival of Altars at Potrero Del Sol Park
FREEThe procession starts at the corner of 22nd and Bryant St., then proceeds on Bryant to 24th St., down 24th to Mission St., then moves along Mission to 22nd St., and finally travels along 22nd to Bryant St. for the closing ritual.
Festival of Altars:
Potrero Del Sol Park (Located at Potrero & 25th St.)On November 2nd, Day of the Dead Festival of Altars will be held in Potrero Del Sol Park aka. La Raza Park. Please come and participate in building an altar or come to view the community altars.
The making and viewing of traditional, contemporary, or experimental altars is a unique transformative experience connecting us closer to our Ancestors.
Bring flowers, 8 inch glass prayer candles, and mementos of loved ones to contribute to the Community Altars.
And remember, this isn’t just an excuse to get loaded and party in the streets like Halloween. This is a traditional and respectful cultural celebration and please note, it’s alcohol-free.
