Coit Tower 80th Birthday Party & Art Show | SF

On October 8, 1933, San Franciscans gathered together atop Telegraph Hill to celebrate the creation of Coit Tower, a simple fluted tower rising high into the sky, designed by Arthur Brown, Jr..

On October 8, 2013, San Franciscans will once again gather together to celebrate the Coit Tower spirit and the generosity of Lillie Hitchcock Coit who left a third of her estate “to beautify the city I have always loved.”

Morning Celebration | Coit Tower 80th Birthday Party & Art Show | SF

Come celebrate Coit Tower’s 80th birthday with the descendants of Lillie Hitchcock Coit, sons and daughters of the original Coit Tower muralists, J.D. Beltran, President of the San Francisco Arts Commission and Tom DeCaigny, Executive Director of the San Francisco Arts Commission.

A giant Coit Tower birthday cake will be shown off in the morning, but you’ll have to wait for the art show in the evening for your chance to eat it.
