Activate McCoppin: Month-Long Block Party | SF
During the month of November 2013, Activate McCoppin is temporarily transforming the McCoppin Hub, at the intersection of Valencia and McCoppin Streets from a parking lot into a community hub.
McCoppin Hub is hosting a variety of events and art installations in an effort to offer opportunities for communities to come together, connect, share, collaborate, and have fun. This project will help determine what programming works in the McCoppin Hub prior to the improvement project slated to begin in 2014.
Want to host your own event? Come teach a class on basket weaving, play some bluegrass, or host a panel discussion. The possibilities are endless.
Join a free outdoor Scrabble tournament, round robin-style, at McCoppin Hub.
They will provide the boards, tables, and chairs. You’ll provide your massive vocabulary and put your skill to the test.
Feel free to also bring your board or timer if you have one.
