Dress spiffy and come party on Valentine’s Day at the Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse with Supermule for a deliciously raucous night of music at Berkeley’s “home of traditional music.”
With traditional roots and revolutionary zeal, Supermule makes bluegrass music that keeps on kicking.
$8 for those age 30 or younger with advance purchase (bring ID to the door); otherwise, it’s $16 for general admission and $14 for seniors.
By “deliciously” they mean complimentary oysters, chocolate, and champagne during a pre-show party in the lobby at 7 pm. Music starts at 8:30 pm, and as always at The Freight this will be a seated show, but there will be dancing in the front rows and on the side aisles.
The Freight says: “This show was built for everyone, whether married, spoken for, miserably single, or playing the field; let’s get all hopped up on chocolate, bivalves, and bubbles and PAR-TAY. But for goodness sakes, dress spiffy and bring a one-liner or two for meeting someone new (“Is it hot in here, or is just you?”). That one’s on us, you’re welcome.”
