This week marks the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show, so The Hotel Utah open mic night is aiming to be completely Beatles themed.
On Monday, February 10, 2014, performers are encouraged to play songs by, or related to, the Fab Four, which means any Beatles song, or post-Beatles solo song, or any song by an act related to them (Yoko Ono, Ravi Shankar, Billy Preston, etc), is in play.
Singer-songwriter Gianna Biagi from Vacaville performs at 10 pm as a featured performer.
Signup begins at 7:30 pm; music starts at 8 pm. House guitar is available as well as a full piano. All songs are recorded and mastered and will go online at theutah.org the following day.
There’s no cover, but it’s a bar, so it’s only for those 21 and up.
