Where do you want to travel in 2011? New York? Amsterdam? Toyko? What about just exploring San Francisco?
As a Christmas present to help you with your travels, Lonely Planet has made their 25 ‘augmented reality’ Compass City Guide Android apps $0.99 (down from $4.99) until December 25th, 2010.
Twenty-five Lonely Planet Compass Guides are currently available for Android users: Amsterdam, Bangkok, Barcelona, Beijing, Boston, Chicago, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Las Vegas, London, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York City, Paris, Prague, Rome, San Francisco, Seattle, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, Vancouver, and Washington DC.
Key features of the Compass Guides include GPS-enabled maps and location-based information for hundreds of points-of-interest for every city. By simply looking through the phone’s camera, users can see the best nearby sights, restaurants, bars and accommodation. The guides also enable travelers to use all content offline (with the exception of the maps), meaning no roaming fees.
Buy the app from the Android Market directly from you android phone
